Ooooooo I'm off and visiting again!

I'm so excited! I'm in sunny California! Spending lovely time with Jen of "When Pigs Fly" and I'm having a lovely time!

We spent some time out on the Newport Harbor over memorial day weekend! Check me out hanging with some fun friends Ari and Mari. I think I ate too much holiday food before taking a boat trip. Do I look a little green to you?

Check out this rowdy band of merry makers behind me. I'm sure I looked like a wee snicky snack to them....no no silly beasts, gnomes are NOT good eatin'. Boy that was a sight! I didn't think I'd get to see that in my wee little Gnome life!


I helped with Mother's Day Desserts by making Lemon Petit Fours, don't they just look delicious! Don't tell, I had a nip of that yummy lemon icing because it just looked so great! I must say, it's really nice when you can have a pastry the size of, well you! Talk about dessert of my dreams!

Ahhhhhhhhh I'd better be careful! Someone just reminded me that beards are highly flamable! I thought I'd check out the Table Burners at the OCC Culinary School! Boy, it got hot reallllllly quickly!

I'm very excited to see what other wonderful spots Jen has in mind to take me..I think I heard her talking about this DizKnee place...oooo I wonder what that's like?

Shots from Virginia and New River Gorge

On my way home from North Carolina, I spent some time pondering the amazing feats of arcitectural daring while viewing the New River Gorge Bridge! So amazingly beautiful. Thankfully though, I took a lovely ride in a pocket on the way down and back up. The stairs to the bridge overlook are dreadfully long and winding! Far to high and far too many for my little gnome legs. So here's me perched precariously on the ledge railing for my "tourist" shot!


Here's me leaning for a break against the brige infomation. Fasinating stuff really, but I'd already spent most of my energy hanging on for dear life at that railing! Goodness, who would think to wedge a gnome into such a tight spot! HONESTLY THE NERVE! But anyway, a tourist must do what is necessary to get the good shots!

OH YEAH! The best part of the trip...well ok, not really...but it's darn funny ifyou ask me...

I loved taking in the view from here. Not much, but open sky, and lots of green grass. I loved soaking up the sun, awaiting my trip to New Mexico!



OHHH that's right I forgot to tell you, I've made my way to New Mexico and am currently taking in the sights and sounds of lovely Los Alamos.

WHIZ BANG!

Since my return from the pixie's den, I've been whisked away on a most wonderful trip. I'm playing catch up at the moment, trying to get all the pictures ready. I'll be posting tomorrow. Let's just say I nearly got blown off a mountain top, and spent a weekend trekking amoung the geeks and nerds in North Carolina! So tune in tomorrow for images and more fun stories!

Stolen by the Pixies!

Holy Frijoles! I was stolen by the Pixies. I was to be packed and shipped months ago, but couldn't be found. Thankfully I'm back, the Pixies had their way with me and now are through. I was casually tossed aside once they brought me back. They didn't care where I was left, or if I'd pine for their company once again. Darn Pixies, cruel to an old Gnome's heart! So I'm trundling off to North Carolina on Thursday. Going to see some local views, perhaps a bit of the mountains, maybe the local safari park. Who knows...wonders await! WHOOT! It's some place new!

How the heck did I end up here?? Someone took me along as a cheesy good luck charm?!?! HOW INSULTING! Actually I didn't mind it so much, the food was pretty decent, and apparently my Gnome luck kicked in and we won a bit o' dough.



This was entirely frustrating though! All I needed was B4 to win $1,000.00!!!! I kept waving around my Gnome beard in hopes to stir up the luck enough to get B4 to pop into the number spinner, but alos it was not meant to be. **sigh** just think of all the traveling I could have done on $1,000.00 in my little box.......O well I guess I'll just have to rely on the kindness of strangers to help me along my journey. I'm about to sojourn to New Mexico! I'm very excited about that! Pennsylvania is starting to bore me incredibly and I need to move on. What kind of Gnome would I be if I took up residence here without first seeing as much of the world as I could! I'd be the laughing stock of the wood no doubt!

Waiting! It's a lot more difficult than first thought.

Well, it seems my travel accommodations have been delayed slighty. I was hoping for delivery this very afternoon, but alas, things did not go as planned. It seems the universe is conspiring against me and my travel itinerary. I guess it's another week in this dreary old box. I'm starting to feel a bit claustrophobic. I can hear the spring birds singing outside and would so love to see the sun!
